If you've ever heard the expression, "The form is a tool to help you," and wondered what it means, this class is for you. If you haven't, well, you just did. Students will delve deep into what makes some forms better vessels for different styles of play, how to recognize what forms might be a good next step to explore, and how to let that all of it take a back seat to the piece itself.

Class is scheduled for Tuesday nights, 6:30-8:30 PM, August 20 - September 24. Class will be held at the Hudson Valley Books for Humanity bookstore in Ossining.

Class size limit: 12 people

Prerequisite: 3 class levels at any improv theater or commensurate experience.

Teacher Don Romaniello has been improvising off and on for twenty five years, studying at The Magnet, The Annoyance, Reckless, and UCB Theaters. He’s been on numerous house teams at the Magnet, and his notable past projects include the Baroque musical improv Rococo Puffs and commedia dell'arte-inspired The Mask Show. As an instructor, he has the rare distinction of coaching a house team at the Magnet Theater. His on-stage calm suffuses his approach in the studio, giving every student the room to really relax and grow on stage.
